Irwin B. Schwartz

Irwin B. Schwartz is President and managing member of DIVIDEX Management, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company.

He formed DIVIDEX in 2013 to hold and license proprietary intellectual property developed in connection to his work with Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management Board and to advise institutional investors in improving their management and recovery of securities litigation claims as assets. In 2014, Irwin registered DIVIDEX Management, LLC as an RIA and formed DIVIDEX Risk Insurance Company, a captive Delaware statutory trust, to provide before-the-event adverse party cost insurance exclusively for DIVIDEX Management clients that join securities litigation in loser-pays jurisdictions.

In 1994, Irwin founded a boutique business litigation law firm, which is now BLA Schwartz, PC, with offices in Massachusetts, New York and California. Among BLA Schwartz’s clients are MassPRIM and CalSTRS and other institutional investors.

Irwin is a graduate of the Honors College at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, holding bachelor degrees in Political Science (summa cum laude) and Journalism (magna cum laude). He is also a graduate of Boston College Law School, with a Juris Doctor degree (magna cum laude). Irwin is licensed to practice law in New York, Massachusetts, California and Michigan as well as numerous United States Federal district and appellate courts.

David Pineau

David Pineau is the Chief Technology Officer for DIVIDEX Management, LLC, where he leads technology development, claim filing analytics, and custom client projects with respect to securities litigation exposures. David has many years of securities litigation-related technology experience. Previously, he led technology efforts and managed strategic client projects for many years at Financial Recovery Technologies. He has worked extensively in the architecture, development, and management of financial software applications across numerous industries. David is an inventor or co-inventor on multiple US patents.
